The web changes so dynamically, that many projects are no longer online and yet they each have a story. Whether they have disappeared or simply been redesigned, what you find here are samples from the past.
Clicking on the link (or picture) opens a new window with a sample from the website. Simply close it once done viewing. Pages are stored here for archive purposes only, the navigation in them has been disabled (you can’t click links).
Web Projects – Offline
Web site’s name: |
Canisterapeuticka asociace (Canine Therapy Association) |
 |
Status: |
Offline |
This version created: |
2005 |
Language versions: |
Czech, English |
Web site size: |
over 50 pages |
Description: |
The official website of the Czech Canine Therapy Association, an umbrella coalition of 17 organizations providing dog-therapy for facilities in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, the organization no longer exists. |
My involvement: |
Graphic design, photo editing, some text editing, some translation |
Notes: |
Before I took over this site, it was designed by the director’s 14 year old son. After all CTA is a non profit and he actually did a pretty good job for a teenager. Since many members said they rather liked it, I stuck to the original color scheme and the new logo. But I felt we needed some dog pics in there and they were well received. |

Arena was one of my larger projects, a multi-lingual site with many informative and interesting pages. Arena Hostel has since been physically renovated, upscaled and subsequently run by a German hostel chain. |

I have no idea if this project ever took off, but I like the design, so here it is. It was the first time I utilized the technique of 3D scanning for a design. The layout is composed from a fern, birch bark and mushroom. |

Web site’s name: |
MishaWeb.com |
 |
Current status: |
Unpublished / Off line |
This version created: |
2003 |
Language versions: |
English |
Web site size: |
over 50 pages |
Description: |
My own site dedicated to web design, content development and consulting services. |
My involvement: |
All texts, web design, basic search engine optimization. |
Notes: |
This site is 70% complete and I decided not to publish it. I simply never got to it and now it needs re-working. For one thing, it still has my maiden name in the letterhead. But it’s a fun design, composed from a real picture of my corkboard, using Ken Nash’s cartoons, my favorite quotes etc. One day, I might get to it, for now, the work will have to speak for itself. |

Web site’s name: |
Corn Husk Dolls |
 |
Current status: |
Unfinished / Offline |
This version created: |
2003 |
Language versions: |
English |
Web site size: |
6 pages |
Description: |
Small online store featuring handmade Eastern European corn-husk dolls. |
My involvement: |
Photography, texts, web design |
Notes: |
My friend’s mother makes these beautiful dolls and I tried to see if we could sell them online, but the project never took off. I only started to develop this website, but I think the animation is nice and the background, made from corn husks, is kind of cool. |
